HL2007 Keynote speakers

I arrived at 9ish and wandered round the stalls. I chatted to Iain Stuart and met Stephen Heppell. In the Great Hall we were treated to 90 second sales pitches by various companies before the conference began.

Graham Brown-Martin then showed us his first mobile phone and the shoulder bag it came in. His 9 year old daughter is all excited, like her peers, about 9th Nov when the iPhone is released. She wants not to phone her friends but to share photos and pictures and drawings.

Doug Brown has told us how to text in any questions we have. If you want to join in this morning text to 88020 with Doug as the first word.

Jim Knight, UK Minister for Schools and Learning is now giving us lots of figures about technology use in schools but I can't get them down fast enough.

On a different note I am really looking forward to trying the TyTN II phone. The Vario II's camera that I'm using just now makes it look like the stage is on fire!
